The same 70mm objectives as our popular 15x70mm- gathers almost twice as much light as common 50mm models (surface area = pi*r 2 ), so these are ideal for low-light viewing. Smoothly zoom from 12x to 36x at the flick of a lever. These are excellent for sporting events, birding, nautical applications, and surveillance (a city police force in Ohio purchased one of these for evaluation- and ended up putting one in each of their cruisers).
Includes the same highest-quality broadband multi-coatings and BAK4 prisms as our 15x70mm. All Oberwerk binoculars have rugged rubber-armored metal bodies, all-glass lenses, right ocular diopter adjustment, brass 1/4-20 tripod adapter threading, case, and strap.

NOTE: Fixed-power binoculars offer almost a 50% wider view than zoom binoculars set to the same magnification (but only at lower magnification settings), therefore we do not recommend zoom binoculars for those primarily interested viewing the night sky. The narrow field of view at low magnification is an inherent limitation in all zoom optics.
