Hunters have never had it so good! If you stay at Rainbow’s End during hunting season, you will be pampered by Nancy. There is a hot breakfast and all the coffee you can drink waiting for you in the wee
hours of the morning so you don’t
miss hunting
at daybreak.
You are close
enough to
most hunting
areas to
return for
lunch and
a nap before
the afternoon
hunt. When
you return
in the evening,
dinner could
be waiting,
and it’s
not chili
out of a
can, if you
hire Nancy
to prepare
one of her
gourmet specialties.
For those not familiar with Idaho, only 20% of the state is privately owned; the other 80% is public land comprised of BLM, national and state forests, and wilderness. In the area around Challis, you can hunt elk, mule deer, whitetail, antelope, moose, big horn sheep, mountain goat, and mountain lion. In addition, there are wild turkey, Canadian geese, mallards, wood ducks, grouse, chukar, and sage hen. For your convenience, you can access Idaho Fish and Game on our Links page.
If you are a bow hunter, we have an extensive 3-D archery range with a wide variety of animal targets positioned around the property. Also, there is a rifle range where you can sight in your weapons.
Be sure to visit the Trophy Rooms with the menu on the left for a virtual hunting experience.
You need to call in advance for reservations so you are not disappointed as our calendar fills up quickly.
